Superstar Rajnikanth was last seen in the superhit pongal release, the karthik Subbaraj directorial Petta, and currently, he is acting in his 167th flick Darbar helmed by flop director AR murugadoss who recently made the plagiarized movie Sarkar.
Bankrolled by lyca productions known also for bankrolling the actor's sci-fi flick 2.0, Darbar will have Rajnikanth as a cop with Lady Superstar Nayanthara as his pair while Nivetha Thomas, yogi Babu, sunil Shetty are also a part of the action entertainer. The movie is progressing at a brisk pace and the shooting is inching towards completion. A.R.murugadoss already confirmed that the movie will be a pongal treat.
The latest addition to the cast of Darbar happens to be character artist Sriman, popular for his humorous act in the Kanchana series and the actor himself revealed the news by sharing on Twitter as this is his first movie with Superstar and second with murugadoss after Dheena.
